The Jack Petchey Foundation award will be awarded monthly for outstanding achievement. Each month the Club Captains and Vice Captains will decide the winner from nominations. Nominations can be any club member between the age of 11 and 25. Nomination slips and a posting box will be available on Monday nights. The winner will receive a certificate (and a medal at an annual awards ceremony) and will be able to choose from a wish list what the club spends the donation of £200 from Jack Petchey on. Each person can only receive the award once.

Congratulations to 13 year old James Lawrence, the winner of the Jack Petchy award for May. James swims in Top Squad and goes to Bishop Justus school. James was given the monthly award by the captains for his hard work in training and they say he is also a 'cool dude'.

April 2007 Winner - Joe Heaney (Top Squad)
The Jack Petchey award for April has been awarded by the Club Captains to 14 year old Joe Heaney. He was nominated for his dedication and commitment to training. Joe has recently joined Top squad. He has been a member of Ojays for many years progressing through all the squads. He has recently been working extremely hard to achieve the necessary requirements to become a part of Top squad and since joining the squad he has made considerable progress and to quote the Top squad coach "Is swimming faster, and performing better than several swimmers who have been in Top squad for a while". Joe is in year 9 at Darrick Wood School. Well done Joe!

March 2007 Winner - Emily Coe (Top Squad)
Emily was given the award by Vice-captain Gemma Leggett for her dedication to training, rarely missing a swimming session, doing very well in the Kents and for a vast improvement in her performance over the past year. She has chosen a new club laptop so the club can run galas and it can also be used as a training aid.
